FIRST PRESBYTERIAN

EVENTS

Good morning and a very Happy Easter to all of you, whether you are joining us here, in the First Presbyterian Church, in person, or tuning in online. On this beautiful Easter morning, as we gather as a congregation, I am filled with gratitude and joy for having every one of you as part of our church family. Your presence, whether near or far, is a blessing to us all, and the love you share is a beacon of hope and a testament to the vibrant community we are building together.

Easter, as we celebrate it, is a time of renewal and rebirth. It's a moment when we are reminded of the enduring hope that comes with the Resurrection. This hope is not just a fleeting feeling but a steadfast anchor that holds us firm, even in the stormiest seas. It's a reassurance that, no matter the challenges we face, there is always a new dawn, a new beginning that awaits us if we keep faith.

Love, in the context of Easter, takes on a profound meaning. It is the love that was demonstrated through the ultimate sacrifice, a love so deep and boundless that it overcame death itself. This love is the foundation of our faith and community - it's what compels us to reach out to one another, to support and uplift, to forgive and heal. It's a love that knows no boundaries, a love that affirms the worth and dignity of every individual.

The Easter message, therefore, is one of hope renewed, love unfailing, and the joy of rebirth. It's an invitation to each of us to embody these elements, not just today but every day. As we move forward, let us carry this message in our hearts. Let it guide our actions towards one another and the world. Let us be bearers and vessels of love, and harbingers of a new beginning that Easter promises.

To all of you, I extend my warmest wishes for a blessed Easter. May this day and all the days to come be filled with the light of hope, the warmth of love, and the joy of new beginnings.

Blessings to you all,

Pastor Rick
